Ceratech Zboard with World of Warcraft Key-set review

Wolf King Round Type Keyboard

While 99% of the worldwide keyboards have the QWERTY layout, the Round Type Keyboard made by Wolf King is different because it isn’t made for the majority.

The special shaped keyboard has one (and only) specific target:

Shoot’em up gamers that use the WASD keys as the directional keys, and the Control as the “fire” button that is pressed by the pinky finger like you can see on the image after the jump:

FCC Leaks New Wolf Claw Keyboard

t looks like those that prefer their keyboards as unconventional as possible could soon have a new option to consider from Wolf King, which has just seen its latest less-than-ergonomic wonder pass through the FCC. From the looks of it, this one boasts a good deal of similarities to the Wolf Claw keyboard we saw a while back, minus the full-size QWERTY keyboard. That gets replaced by a jumble of keys that could probably be used to actually type something in a pinch, although we're guessing you'll want to have another keyboard as a backup. According to the manual, you can also expect a pair of extra USB ports, seven customizable hotkeys and, of course, some blue backlighting to really make it stand out on your desk. No word on a price or release but, as you can see above, it sure looks about ready to roll out the door.

Luxeed keyboard to suit all your color needs

Color keyboards are not a new idea, but a keyboard that can change color dynamically to suit your needs is a really – hmm – colorful idea?

The Korean company Luxeed (from Luxiium Lighting and Technology) is marketing this latest innovation, the interactive keyboard, as a way to relieve stress via color therapy. And the deal is that you can program the color of each one of the keys from a palette of 512 available colors just as it suits you. Blue today, red tomorrow? Well, let your imagination loose. You can create a single hue, a spectrum rainbow or your own distinct pattern which can even be saved for future use. There are more options available too. If you don’t feel too artistic, download color skins from the company’s website to get started. You can adjust the brightness of the skin and program the skins to “dance” to the music that you feel like playing – your dear keyboard’s night out at the disco. In all, I guess there isn't much more to ask for from a color keyboard. Adventurists out there, keep an eye out for this one.

Logitech G15

The Logitech G15 is a long-standing favourite with gamers. It packs lots of features into a well-built chassis (recently redesigned as the G15 V2).

It has programmable keys, just like the Cyborg above, only this time they're called G keys and there are six of them. There's more to it than that though, as there are buttons to toggle between three different key maps, meaning eighteen possible macros. The principles are the same, you program in your required function and press the button.

There's also backlighting, in this case it's an orange glow from behind all keys. Simple, but effective.

The G15's clever trick is its LCD display, built into the top of the keyboard. It can be programmed to show all manner of information, from system statistics (CPU load, available RAM) to in-game info (ammo levels, experience level).

On top of that you can add multimedia controls, a gaming mode switch to lock out the Windows keys, and two USB 1.1 sockets.

Verdict 7/10
Solidly built with a useful LCD screen, the G15 V2 refreshes and improves on the original design. This is a keyboard that should be enough for most gamers.
